Ackerman Plumbing Services

At Ackerman Plumbing Inc., we are dedicated to our clients throughout every step of the construction process. Our commitment to quality and integrity is the cornerstone of our success, and it’s why our clients return again and again.

We’re proud to offer an extensive list of in-house services to our commercial plumbing clients.

BIM 3D

Before ground is ever broken on your commercial plumbing project, you can be sure that our team has worked tirelessly to identify and eliminate all conflicts between our plumbing systems and the other trades. We do this utilizing Building Information Modeling (3D BIM) to represent our plumbing systems throughout the entire building in a 3-Dimensional digital model. This advanced process saves countless RFI’s before the construction starts, and reworks as the building progresses. Therefore, we are able to better meet project scheduling deadlines, and key milestones.

Trimble Total Station

At Ackerman, we have implemented the most recent layout technology using the Trimble Total Station. The Trimble Unit Robotic Station immediately provides benefits such as real-time data accessibility, faster and more accurate layouts, and reduces both errors and reworks. Using the BIM MODEL, information is relayed directly to the field, where the Trimble unit is able to precisely layout all pipe penetrations, hanger points, sleeve and core locations in your complete plumbing project.

Revit

At Ackerman Plumbing, we use Revit to support our BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows. This helps us reduce risk by allowing us to obtain insight into how buildings will perform before construction begins, develop quality designs, and improve project delivery.

By utilizing BIM, Revit can leverage dynamic information in intelligent models, allowing complex building structures to be accurately designed and documented in a short amount of time. We are able to maximize productivity for your corporate plumbing projects by streamlining documentation, taking projects from design to completion while automating updates across your model.

GPR – Ground Penetrating Radar

Concrete scanning is a vital part of the construction process, using our Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) System, we can proceed with your commercial construction project knowing the proposed drilling, coring, or cutting layouts are safe. Using the GPR system, we can locate rebar, conduit, post-tension cables, voids and determine concrete slab thickness in real-time. This information will contribute to the success of your project by saving time, meeting your project schedule, and representing thousands of dollars in cost-savings by avoiding hazards.

AutoCAD

Using CAD (computer-aided design) our team is able to create the best plumbing blueprint for your commercial building. We use CAD Design to help you visualize what your commercial plumbing project will look like in 3D, and how it will function.

Our CAD models can help you understand how we’ll install commercial plumbing in the space available. For instance, our drafting software can help us design a plumbing system to complement your art museum or medical office design. Seeing your plumbing system in 3D helps you visualize new construction or remodeling before giving your approval.

Medical Gas Systems

At Ackerman Plumbing, our crews are trained and certified in medical gas piping installation, medical gas piping design, and medical gas service. We install medical gas piping systems in numerous healthcare facilities throughout the region.

These medical gas pipes are crucial in supplying lifesaving gases throughout medical facilities. The gases and uses include:

  • Oxygen
  • Nitrogen
  • Nitrous Oxide
  • Compressed Air
  • Vacuum
  • Laboratory Dust Collection
  • Cryogenic Liquid
